I installed a transcooler on my car the other day and i figured that with the installation of the unit, plus about 10 feet of 3/8ths hose that i would be about a quart low. so with out hesitation i added the quart. Then i checked the dip stick and to my surprise i was about 1.5 inches above the 2 cut out circles on the bottom of the dipstick. I also noticed at the very top of the dipstick there is another cut out circle. I read the owners manual and it said that the level should be between the 2 circles but it doesnt specify which one. So judging by their picture in the manual i guessed it was the bottom 2. I drained out about a half quart and the level is still about .5 inches above the 2 circles so now either i was over full to begin with or im supposed to be higher, becuase a half quart will not fill all that hose and new cooler space. If someone could check their dipstick or just post some help i would appreciate it, thanks.

 

With the trans warm from driving 15 minutes, the turn engine OFF and remove and clean then reinsert remove and read the trans dipstick, should be between upper 2 marks, the lowest one would be out of fluid!
