I have teh high flow cat made by Random Technology, it's straight bolt on for a TLP, av6, or CLP...but requires a bit of modification for the type S, i believe you have to extend part of it to get it to fit. You also must buy a o2 extension wire, your stock wire won't be long enough.

Random Technology makes a bolt on unit. The only modification required is to extend the 02 sensors about 4". I sell 02 extensions to make it plug and play. On the Type S you will have to drill out the exhaust flange holes on the B-Pipe (cat side) to bolt up the cat. That is it.

exhaust seemed a bit higher and louder, but it's not a bad sound.

Test pipe will make your CE light come on. Trust me. My 99 had 169,000 on its stock converter and the light was on. Code showed Catalyst below threshold. I took the stock converter off and knocked all the crap out of it and put it back on. I thought, what the heck, the worst that can happen is I have to buy a new one. I reset the light and all was good for about 150 miles, then the light came back on. Bought a new converter from Eastern and all is good now.

Did you have an O2 Sim on? I think if you have an O2 Sim, it should solve the CEL problem.
