Tanabe Hyper Medalion Exhaust: Installed!!! Pics and Sound clips/vids

bought it from a local acurazine'er. great deal. it was originally made for a v6 accord, but was adapted to fit the TL. i had to do a little adjusting to get it to fit right, it hung way low. but it was taken care of, courtesy of my friends at redzone

anyways, on with the show.

here is a pic of what it looked like on the original owners car.

notice how low it hangs... and of course, it was WAAAAY to shiney for me. i know some are gonna hate on me for painting a tanabe exhaust... but its the look, or lack of, that i wanted.

for kicks, heres one of my homemade coldair intake w/k&n filter.

and here are the vids i promised.

#1: pre-exhaust, stock box w/o resonator

#2: tanabe exhaust & coldair intake, stock headers

#3: same as #2, but outside of car

as you can tell by vids 1 and 2... the intake/exhaust made a big difference in acceleration. the most noticable part is when the car shifts into 2nd. pre-everything, the car drops way out of vtec... with the intake and exhaust it stays in.

sounds very nice. Very similar to my car. I'm trying to figure out how to take a good video or even sound clip. any suggestions? Sounds good. My set up is the Tanabe exhaust with AEM V2.

they are pretty big. that im aware of, theyre the largest mufflers for our car, thats part of a catback. but ive gotten used to them now, and i actually like the look.

only downside, it does have a little freeway drone, but according to ups ill be getting my magnaflow resonator tomorrow. its fuck huge... 2.5"ID, 27" long, 33" with tips. ran me $77shipped. but again, ive gotten used to it. not sure if i wanna put the resonator on or try and sell it.

well i think i might be running nothing at all. the exhaust doesnt bother me much, and i dont want to add something and fuck up the sound everywhere else. while revving and at wot, i love how it sounds. a resonator, im sure, would take away its balls.

I actually like the mufflers in black on your car more than in the orignal finish on the car you got them off of.
