Hey guys, im trying to delete the mid-muffler and stock resonator and add a Magnaflow resonator.
I have a noob question for you guys. My cousin gave me a Magnaflow Resonator (10916). the inlet/outlet on that is 2.5". I have a 02 TL-p and i believe the exhaust piping is 2"? Would a muffler shop be able to make it fit?

Yes. Thats simple.

 

How would they that?

 

They would use pipe that expanded from 2 to 2.5 then do the same in reverse

 

Is there a down side to doing this? Would it affect anything performance wise since it goes from small to big then small again?

Your not going to gain any performance from the resonator being 2.5 if thats what your hoping. The minimal restriction going from 2.5 back down to 2 you will never notice

 

^ iwasnt hoping to gain anything but would it be better if i upped the piping to 2.5" from the cat to the y split?

 

You guy think this would be good?
