SHort ram for TLP?

ive been cruisin around v6p.net and some other accord v6 forums and read that many owners are using SRIs and claim impressive sound from them. is this true and would a SRI work good on my 2000 TLP?? are their any applications available??

if not with the SRI, i want the deepest throatiest possible sound from my intake....at first i was considering the V2, how much of a difference in sound is between the standard AEM CAI and the AEM V2?? is it worth the extra 50-100 dollars

i still cant decide which one to use.....i can get a SRI for around 100 bucks, a CAI for around 200, and a v2 around 250........which one should i do?? people are saying dont get SRI because it sucks hot air, but whats the big deal? would a regular CAI give a nice deep sound? or should i just go all out and get the v2

does anyone have something for sale at a good price?

well hot air reduces hp and performance. thats why cais make good hp cause they draw in cooler air thats not from the engine compartment..

wanna know what a short ram sounds like? take off the air filter cover and just leave the rubber intake tube with nothing on it (only if its dry and a clean road, and not for long. you dont want to suck up dirt into your engine) drive down the street and floor it. you will here what it sounds like. a cai isnt much quieter, just moves the sound from the engine compartment to the bumper area

shit i just read a bunch of threads and there are a few people who have SRIs...i think i might actually go with a SRI because its like 100+ dollars cheaper and its got a good sound

i also read its not that much of an HP difference anyways...your not really gonna feel the 2 hp difference.....i think i might get the SRI

It sounds like you're really interested in the sound. Personally, I think SRI is not worth the money. You can just pull out the stock snorkel box in the front bumper and just drop in a K&N filter. I'm not sure of the sound, but it'll be louder than stock and probably around the same power increase as a SRI.

Short Ram = all sound, no power. Basically a "hot-air intake" You get the same sound from the AEM CAI but with added power.

they are both loud. sometimes the short ram sounds louder cause its traped under the hood and you can hear it better in the car. if your going to spend money get the CAI and atleast get some HP from your purchase. Just get the V2 and be done with it.
