Which rotors do you guys suggest?
Hey guys I need your help.... I had a little accident (rear end) and I just got the car back from the body shop a few days ago... to make a long story short I just realized the steering wheel shakes when braking hard (didnt do it before the accident) and the front discs have burn type marks on them I guess because I was at a dead stop when I was hit and it forced the discs to turn .. should I get new rotors and if so I would like to stick to something like OEM type ...nothing high performance .... so which rotors do you guys suggest I go with? the OEM ones from the dealer are $260 for the pair and thats a little much for plain non-slotted and non-drilled rotors, so what do you guys think I should do?

Hi HMC4L
Good to see you back on the road, you probably guessed right on the rotors.
For good as OE go to NAPA auto parts- get the american made ones- not the imported ones for a dollar less
Get SUPERIOR quality brake pads at pepboys- Hawk HPS are good at all speeds and will save your life one day or more!!
If your a gen 2 as I recall- you can get slotted fronts with Hawk pads for $306 from MrHeelToe
Thats what I have in front and napa/Hawks in the rear- slows and stops fast

The rotor may be warped or it could just need to be machined but the OEM rotors have a tendency to warp easily.
I recommend ROTORA Slotted Rotors and new pads.

I did the rears with Hawk HPS and NAPA rotors because only 30 percent of the braking done there, I was on a budget, and I had not joined acurazine yet to know about RB
With my most recent fun run (see pics) I can tell that the rears work ~ok~
but as long as I am going to upgrade to SS brake lines and I will be in there, might as well put the RB rears on too. I drive different than most people, and I also dont like the rusty hub look!

So I am thinking of getting this package deal...

Don't know if it is still valid, but I a not racing my TL, just use it for commuting... do you guys think that is a bit much for daily driving?

It depends on what you encounter commuting- like at speed to near stop is common in my area.
The rear RB rotors will not rust the hub as others do, so they always look good if thats important to you. If you factor in the price of rear pads and other brand rear rotors-
its only 100 bucks more to have got the whole RacingBrake setup in one box
Go for it and never have to worry about your brakes again.
The SS lines are great if you're a canyon runner like me- otherwise stock are fine for human needs
Flush the brake fluid for maximum system effiency

I say compare all the tech info and features made into each brand and re-think your decision- cause you're at half assed right now
www.rotora.com
www.racingbrake.com see constructon and read all the links and technology in the inner cooling vanes- thats what saves rotors
They feature special alloy, heat treated, unique curver convergent inner vanes- a major improvementoverstock or other replacements
www.hawkperformance.com
for all you need to know about pads look at HPS

The axxiss pads are known troublemakers and the Rotoras are good- I have no doubt or issue, I prefer the Racing Brake Brand for tech features and durabilty
for the places I drive
