they dont let you listen to it before you buy? I know they do it at some of the muffler shops out here.

I just slightly hate the "humming" noise I get now.

But I can deal with it. I already got a CAI, just need less rain and less coldness before I can install it.

I think stuff is being mixed up:

- taking off intake resonator = diy (free)
- taking off mid muffler = if you know how to weld, diy or go to a muffler shop to get it done
- taking off exhaust resonator(s) = same as above?

I don't know about you but asking to get the mid muffler removed just to see how it sounds and let's say you're not happy with it and you tell them to put the muffler back on => I would be surprised if the shop didn't force you to pay.

Yep. The cylinder after the cat, but before the mid-muffler.

Out here yea they have a shop where they have a garage full of cars and they will bring that car you have so say i want magnaflow on my TL they will go get the TL they have in the back install magnaflows on it so you can hear.

Or

You take them your car to remove the mid muffler they will remove it. If you dont like it they will put it back on for you but its like 10 bucks but saves you at least 40

if you somebody brought their car to get exhaust done and didnt like it and got a refund.. you were LUCKY...

you cant really refund Labor.. especially if you make them take it right back off.. thats twice the work!

besides.. when your not adding a part... ie: just removing 2 resonators.. that didnt charge you for parts aside from a few bucks for piping... its almost all labor. i dont know any shop that would refund you for not liking what you asked for...
