Recommeded Rotors...
Hey guys, im looking to replace the front and rear rotors on my 03 TL Type-S. I have seen a few different kinds on Ebay, but wanted to hear what you guys are using and your feedback on the different sets...
Im looking for some that are cross drilled and slotted and where "rusting" won't be an issue in the holes. I will paint them with some hi-temp paint to help out with rusting. What do you guys recommend that you have used with good results?? Thanks..

ive got ebc dimples and slotted rotors (15k miles and no vibrations and i do some racing on the side), paired with hawk performance street pads.
r u going to paint the rotors? or just the part that the pads don't touch, i wouldn't recommend painting the whole rotor

not many of us are big on the ebay cheapos cross drilled and such
They are often originally designed as blank rotors- meant to be run just as they are.
Then someone draws a neat pattern on the computer and sticks the rotors in a CNC machine- drills and cutters move around based on the computers map. Out comes a rotor!!
Only problem is-- it was not designed for drilling- which reduces its strength, and depending on type of drilling and countersink of the edge- can develope stress cracks about a year after you get them. This is bad! and must be replaced immediatly
There are good brands that have drilled-slotted rotors that were designed with extra ribs to strengthen the areas between the drill holes- made for what is done to them after casting. Many of us like the side slotted rotors- it helps in performance -repeated brake use conditions and looks cool~
Crossdrilled is just bling for normal drivers, not performance value- but if thats your thing- please buy quality brand parts-
looks good while parked in a guardrail---total bummer
Braking is dependant on good rotors and good pads working together
I run RacingBrake 1 piece slotted fronts with ET300 pads -designed by same place so they work together perfectly. Last long time- solid stable performers- they are about 350? for pads and rotors for the front- ~550 with matched rears from stoptech- see MrHeelToe
Stoptech aka Centric, makes good stuff too-- on a more budget oriented plan
Brakes are the most important part of the car- dont scrimp!!!!
Trees and other cars do work to stop the car....but the front end damage is usually not worth it
The other things for your 03 are 1995 Legend 2 piston calipers, $150 for the pair, and SS brake lines about $100 for set of 4. Makes the TL stop on the dime and give 8 cents change

Where can I get the RacingBrake 1 Piece slotted fronts? Also where could I get the Stoptech aka Centric Rotors If I wanted to go that route?? Anyone have a link?? Sorry for all the newbie ?'s, but when I do a search I see ALL KINDS of different opinions and just wanted to hear what was holding up the best.

Racing Brake SS Brake Lines
All from site vendor heeltoeauto.com.
Great Set Up.

ROTORA Slotted or Drilled/Slotted Rotors and ROTORA Ceramic pads are a great combination. Many many AZ members run them with great results.
