So I'm thinking of repainting the cai because it looks janky right now. It's a gray similar to AM, but I want to paint it a matte black. Because black retains so much heat, would it be counterproductive to make it such a dark color? Or is it insignificant because the CAI doesn't give you noticeable gains anyway?

 

I always thought that only applied to sunlight...

thats only with sunlight. You can paint it what ever color you want.

Though im a fan of body color (even though mine still needs to be painted from the primer black finish it has some day all parts under hood will be body color

 

paint it clear, itll stay cooler cause it will be like its not even there.... and stuff.
