Prototype Racing Equal Length Headers

Many of you older members might remember this or have seen this.
I've seen them on their website.

Sadly, it was a production flop and couldn't get them mass produced (sorry to get your hopes up. )

i was browsing on another forums and a member just recently got his.

It’s a shame that these will probably never make it production as these things perform as well they look.

Wow, the gains from those over the Comptechs are great, especially in the lower RPMs. Too bad we'll never see them. Did the new owner email that Edmun guy listed on the website and that's how he got a set?

I dont believe they will ever make to production beacuse the manufacturer that was chosen was shady and closed shop with jigs, plans, money etc. Needless to say both men are soar about this situation as they both lost major $$$$

If Comptechs are $1200 and people can't afford them, no way would anyone purchase these headers.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "anyone", I should've said most people. But seriously, if CTs are $1200, how much do you think these would be? $2000?

i remember these....impressive

As for the Comptechs being $1200, its a joke. IMO comptech is just another greedy company at this point. These equal length headers should have ran $1200, comptechs no more than $600 on a bad day. But thats just my look on it

but yet they're the only carb legal header out there... reason why their stuff costs so much more; they pay to get them carb'd. look up how much it costs to get a product carb legal first.....

Since the design was already done I say skip that carb legalization process and just produce, shouldnt be anymore than $800-900 which is a great price for these type of headers.

that headers are crazy! its like a 6 into 1. what is funny is usually equal length headers make power on the top end. these lose power on the top end. But the power is in the more usable rpm range which i dont mind. did anyone try emailing the guy with the specs for these? it would be a great option to choose from. I hate the options we have as far as comptech, megan, obx, and the other generic stuff. Im in the market for new headers. the megan ones are not holding there spec to much for me any more.
