the thing at the bottom of everyones post is called a signature. if you go to quick links, you will see an option for "edit signature"

also try and search before creating threads like this. this is the 23948985943rd thread about performance chips and a MOD will most likely just lock it up.

see the diy threads for `intake resonator delete`- thats a free power mod!
also run tires at appropriate pressure,,not 32!! there is another free boost

run seafoam thru gas tank and manifold vac-
replace spark plugs if over 70kmiles on them, use only NGK Iridium or NGK Iridium IX
Do the egr port cleaning if over 70

that diy section will solve most probs, do some secret maitenance items, and performance will improve

I installed my chip last week, got on it from a dig and nearly pulled the front end off the chasis!!! No but seriously, those chips are gimmicks and mess up your ECU....

grounding kits can be DIY and do offer extra ground points for better electronic signals

Buy a bunch of 4 gauge cables and make your own grounding kit.

There is no real correct. 32 is whats recommended. Going higher (only to a point) will improve it. Going to high and you can wear tires to fast or exceed their max pressure rating. I typically run 38-42.

0 is overkill and 4 is more than enough. Grounding nearly more important than power.

its the extra ground points on the engine parts- to a main solid good ground to chasis that makes it all work
one wire to each thing: ps, alt, engine block,- all to main ground point,,NOT the battery!!

tire psi depends on your tires rating- what max cold psi at what weight?
then figure the cars actual weight on tire- often ~80%
reduce that % from max and adjust a psi or 2 from there for comfort and wear pattern across the tire
example for those on low profile tires, max 50 psi, 80%actual weight-
subtract 20% /10 psi = 40

Why is it a waste? Grounds are proven to work. In fact there was a dyno a few years back from a member that gained from it.

gained what a 1/4 of one horse power by having better grounds, please not going to happen, hotter spark isn't going to occur, more fuel isn't going to happen no bennies what so ever just a bunch of hype BS

I have to replace my battery cables, according to the dealer. How much would that normally run if I did it myself with OEM parts? Also, does a grounding kit add more cables, or replace the current ones?

ground cable kits adds 4 more cables run to a central plate mounted to a frame rail- does not replace any of the oe cable setup

There is better signal for the electronics and slight gains to be had
will it save the world- no, but any bit of mileage you can eek out helps as gas gets ready to pass 5 bucks a gal this summer

dealer wants your first born child in exchange for the cable install!!
buy your own at parts store and get busy

I grounded my car, cost me $35-$40 or so. It's not really about horsepower imo, my car ran much smoother and idled a bit better after grounding it. But I live in a place where the sanitation department sprays salt on your car for fun.

Plus do your $ / HP ratio.
SC $4000 = 40 HP = $100 / HP.

If you gain 1 or 2 HP by grounding = WIN.
But srsly, you probably can't feel the HP, but it does run smoother.

funny how it went from increased horse power to a smoother idle sounds like your blowing the cow pies around.

But yes a single ground from the block to the frame/body would be all that is need to provide a better all around ground, but you'll never see or feel any difference either way if you add it or not.

Doesn't hurt to invest $35 into your car. I felt a difference... But then again, my grounds were corroded

I didnt say mine added power because I didnt dyno it. But I could tell it ran smoother. It very well may have added a hp or 2 but no one could ever notice that. So no, its not me, its still you doing the blowing.

Well not anything, only Ron A can do anything. Ron A could even make a PS pop out of your computer screen.

Was it smoother at idle, or are you saying it was smoother at any rpm? Was it during a time there was increased electrical load, i. e., headlights, seat heaters, rr defrost, etc.?

Idle for sure, power just seemed smoother more linear. Recently did it on my ice racer (90 prelude) as well and noticed a big improvement with the motor running (as far as smoothness went)

Why? Its not my job to ban people for things i dont agree with. Sometimes thats what happens in life, you dont always agree with everyone

Its under your settings, edit details.

I have read a bit abou seaform over the years...I have 110K on my TL. Can you advise what are the benefits of this product?

I have found the "search feature" to be finicky. What is an egr port cleaning?

Sure would appreciate some detail........

I Ran 2AWG for my Big 3 so im in the Sweet Spot

I also Changed the Starter Cable since it seems out of place in my Shiny Positive Volt-E-Meter Post so I fondly call it "Big 4".

Main reason was for AUDIO Gear I didnt feel any improvement in Power or Idle, but the car Started seriously better in a matter of a Cold and Precise Second no More cranking sound just a flip of the key and we are good to go!
