Performanc Must

Any performance musts that you guys know of?

I just got a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL and just want to see if there are any essentials or bang for the buck performance parts I can get.

Thanks

^^^^

Unorthodox Racing(UR) crank pulley, AEM, Injen, Comptech CAI, all brands of headers(Megan, Alphawerks, OBX) have had issues sans Comptech.

How do spacers and CAI have the same power gains?

Aren't CAI's found to be more potent as far as numbers are go? And CAI's add HP, correct?

Spacers do not add HP...they prevent the loss of it by stopping heat soak in the IM?

Correct me if I'm wrong here just trying to understand things better.

Oh and the installation of the spacer is FREE...DO IT YOURSELF(I did and I know jack shit about cars)...it is easy.

Well First of all when i ordered the spacer's off outlaw's website they "state" that the power gains are close to 8-9hp.So when you consider that a C.A.I give's about 5-8 based on what AEM says,it is kinda of close as far power gain's if you think of it that why.But you may know more who care............

Hm...the suprisingly low #'s advertised by AEM are interesting...I'm pretty sure Comptech(the maker of my CAI) advertises like 12 or 15 hp. Good info

I believe there to be a power gain with spacers. I felt a difference in my butt dyno after I installed mine and reset my ECU. took it for a spirited run and low end power was a little better and overall it pulled slightly harder(not too much). I bet it is close to the power gain of a CAI. CAI's seem like they give you more power because of the kick-ass sound they give off, but I doubt it is much more at all. Best bang for the buck IMO are Stone SS headers(300.00 brand new) I have had mine for a year and no leaks, minimum resonance(I believe due to the cat bolts rusting up bad). They still look great and show no signs of wear. Next is UR crank pulley, then CAI and spacers, also I will be getting the Hyper Voltage MR kit soon to paid with my 4ga grounding kit I made in hopes to extract a little more power out of my car and keep all the electronic equipment working at its peak.

Good info on the headers...if I get headers I will either go Stones or used Comptechs. It's good to hear they are working for you.

What I'm trying to say there is no "gain" from the spacers...rather less loss of power with them because they prevent heak soak in IM.

If how much HP they prevent from being lost is more or less than that gained from a CAI...only a real dyno will tell.

Where can you pick up the Stones? I was gonna get a set of used ones for like 250, but i cant find anywhere to buy them new, for fitment and sound, arent they llike second to comptech?
