i have a champagne 2001 and looking to put some black stripes on it since i have everything blacked out but cant decide on what kind would look good or where to even start looking on what to get any pics available or websites to check out

You know what's cooler than black stripes? RED STRIPES!!! And as you roll down the block at a red light, the guy next to you will be like "oh shit this guy has racing stripes, he's serious business" and won't even attempt to pass you in the green. Then you can floor it in front of him and everyone around you will be like holy shit that guy's cool he just smoked that car!!11!1!11!!on!e!1

 

For future reference, the cheapest and cleanest and REVERSIBLE way would be to get the stripes vinyled on.
There are a lot of shops that do vinyl wrapping.

 

please don't add stripes. If you're gonna paint it, one color. one color only. and yes, vinyl is the best way to accomplish this because it is cheap

 

I'm sorry but i simply refuse to help ANYONE rice out their car. Remember one day whether u claim never or not, you'll want to trade that car in or sell it. At that time you'll be making a thread about how dealers and people are low balling you on your "nice" car. It's only nice to you. Its hard to resell a car like that so they'll take of the value the cost it will take to take all that foolishness off the car.

I don't know how old you are but that should not matter. But this kids car is so clean and nice. It turns heads on his local streets an on this board not because its flashy and has race stripes and neons but because its a rare02-03 A-spec that folks in the USA druel over band on top of just being lowered, it looks stock. Its what youn call a sleeper. But I can tell you this, If he continues to respect his investment with care, he'll get more than its worth if and when he decides to sell. Its your car. In the end do what you want but Acuras are near luxury/luxury cars not a 16yo 1995 civic DX with slow fast mods with a supper wing to make it lift off if it could ever go over 88mph. For the record, yes that is my age...

Spent 2hrs detailing the engine bay before it went into service this weekend - the techs even wash there hands before they touch it.
i lol'ed, there were 4 guys working on it when they didn't have to.
I was at the front desk, but when the tech drove it into the bay they all started to whistle - pretty funny.

The thing i love about my car is how it doesn't attract attention, until you double take.

 

Start the stripe on the front bumper, across the hood, then the front windshield, then the roof, then the rear windshield, then the trunk, and end at the rear bumper.

& i also agree with you. the truth has been spoken. what looks good to you, may look trashy to someone else. Just as an example, i think white cars with blacked out everything else looks really good, while my best friend disagree's with me. it's all personal preference.

Regarding the thread however, If this guy REALLY wants to put stripes on his car, do it with vinyl... no paint. vinyl you can rip off when you decide it looks bad lol

 

i understand anything u do to a car depreciates value but im still in college and dont plan on getting rid of this car any time soon, and if it just so happens to get totaled or sumthin well im not getting to much money back anyway so i mine as well do what ever to it and have sum fun with it

 

Ok well most think fun is changeing wheels, adding engine partsa., things that make the car more "fun". No need to get on the devinsive for "ricing" out a luxury car. Just dont get mad when you're constantly flamed on this board for how repulsive of a transfomation your car has made...lol. Show us a nice looking tl with racing strips...lol. No rush, we'll wait...lol. Rice was so 90's... Even then i thought it was a waste of money because it does nothing for the car. Please fix up the car like you want. start by transforming your TL into a Camaro or Mustang, or hell even a Ferrari 360 Modena. then you can think of putting racing stripes on it.
