Option pulley

Has any baller install Option racing pulley on 2G tl? I've search for that I know there is a few 2G CL has done with it no issues and good reviews. Any reason for not popular on TL? I just want to find out fitment on our car since it has no info about on TL, even it claims fit on 2G TL.

CL/TL share the same engine, so it will fit just fine.

Yes, you need the new belts only $26 @ amazon or local autostore. I used the Gates belts fit on the pulley perfectly .This mod is absolutely awsome and there is quite some CL guys have done on their rides with no issue. I love it on my 99TL.

Got mine from the same place and bought the belts off amazon. For about $50 got the pulley and belts including shipping.

o.k.. boitano is going to install it today, so hope to hear from him soon. Yes. I'm sure you've read that many CL guys done it on their car already but I don't know why not popular in 2g tl. It will gain HP as much as ur CAI for $50+ installation fee unless I can install it yourself for free. My tec guy did everything is 40 mins so 1 hr labour is just enough on the job done.

Got the part installed...Haven't done a ton of driving on it yet but first impression is good. I definitely notice better acceleration from a stop and at higher speeds. After a week of driving on it I'll know more but as of now for the money spent I feel it was well worth it.

I ordered the option pulley last night. I was wondering if that part number for the belt is the same for 02TL-S?

i just did my timing belt on weds, and switched the pulley with this one while i was under there. awesome mod!! Pros are much faster acceleration; i've noticed that the time between starting out and switching to second gear has decreased a decent amount. it launches off the line like a beast now. Cons are that its a pain in the nutz to get that damn crank bolt off, and also i've noticed a very slight rhythmic sound now with the pulley on, almost like a squeeling but not quite. it's very moderate and almost unnoticeable tho.

Every thing else will be fine.

Just DONT and i stress DONT over tighten the PS belt. These pumps are very touchy and easy to damage.

water pump is run by the timing belt, so its rpm's will not be effected by the chnage in pulley. a/c, ps pump, and alternator are only things whose rpm's will be effected.

its actually not hard if you buy the tool for it or have a breaker bar and use the starter method to break the bolt loose.

It won't burn out. Only not suitable for someone who has big audio system like over 600 watts might not recharge enough, other than that u be fine.

You can rent a Torque Wrench from most all auto parts stores. It needs to be 181ft/lb.

i dont know the hp it adds but it definately helps out with acceleration. i hade mine for about a year and a half before i took it off for a stock size ur pulley for my blower. the majority of us cl guys have it or are about to get it i recommend you tl guys to get it. it does the exact same thing as the ur under drive pulley only its way cheaper.

ok, im really SOL right now. ive tried the starter method, everything is in the right position and tried with an without the fuel pump fuse. did nothing but twist my buddys lug wrench. i took an electric impact wrench to it, nothing. i have one last chance as far as i know with my buddys dads snap-on impact, if that doesnt work than i dont know what else to do.
i seen the whole"jamming a screwdriver into the flywheel" in the cl section. can i do that with my '99?
HELP PLEASE! im doing this myself, and am not paying 100+ for it to be done.

thanks guys

What do you mean by "twist" your buddy's lug wrench?

Get an actual breaker bar. It wont bend.
