99-01 have a slightly different mirror, because for 02-03 it was designed slightly different to cut down on drag and wind noise. but i do not know if that makes any difference in what you are doing. just keep it in mind.

Keep in mind the japanese mirrors are positioned for RHD so it will be hard to get them positioned for LHD. If I were to do it, I would remove the mechanicals from the mirror and install them in the OEM TL mirrors.

From the sound of things, you just push a button and the mirrors will automatically fold in rather than you having to manually fold them.

It seems the tradeoff (correct me if I'm wrong) is that you lose the heated mirrors feature.

Personally I've never had a reason to fold my mirrors yet, so it doesn't look like something I'd be interested in. Seriously though, how often do you guys have to fold your mirrors in to need a feature like this? I suppose where you park your car is an important factor, but driving with your mirrors folded? Dunno, sounds stupid to me.

i'm in the process of swapping and lets just say, motors do not swap easily from 99-01 to the 02-03. the way that i'm doing it, you could use any folding motor and put it into the housing and have it work.. but it's not something i'd recommend at all (very little structure/stability). motor stays put though so the USDM tinted/heated glass stays. heated function stays in the glass so that's an easy thing to keep actually. if i had to do it again i would wait until a set of 02-03 folding mirrors were on sale and try those.

That's not in this thread, it was in a link to another and you have to take the motor apart and get relays from an Accord. I would say it's a 3 out of 5 as far as difficulty.
