Blue LED Interior Lights

Alright, I just got done changing out the lights in my car to all blue-L.E.D.s. Enjoy the pics. Let me know what you think...

The front-right door.

The front-left door.

Courtesy/Map lights.

Courtesy/Map & interior dome lights.

Haha, my PIAA Super Sporza windshield wipers got in the pic too.

Blue neons under passenger side of front dash.

My headunit and passenger side of the front dash.

So, what does everyone think?

I just replaced all my interior bulbs with the Hyperwhite LED's.. I was surprised that the Hyperwhite's actually put off a blueish color... MUCH brighter than the stockers though.

2000tlrjm, i have exactly the same set up as you and i love the glow of the blue LEDs on the doors at night especially after it's rained! i did go with hyper white map lights cause i thought blue would be detrimental when if i was trying to read or look for something. i originally put neons in the footwells but theyre fading and im going to switch them to LEDs

Yeah, I think I'm going to be changing out my map lights with the hyper whites as well. The blue looks great and all, but unfortunately I can't see a damned thing when it's nighttime. I guess that kind of defeats the purpose of having lights there.

Thanks! Nah, I actually got them from Autozone. I was a little sketched out about them at first, but I figured why not try 'em out. And, luckily I was happily surprised at the results. However, since then, I decided to change out my map lights with the hyperwhite bulbs, because of the lack of light from the blue LEDs.

Just noticed the blue or white shift gate color, is that bulb the same as the courtesy light or dome light or something?

How many hours do you think it would take a proffessional to install the blue led light in the fog lights radio clock and heater panel?

I believe that the installation on the clock and AC panel can be done by oneself.
I was reading it on a site that had them for sale. (forgot it though)

Can you put up a pic of the domelight internals? They look crazy bright and I wanna see how many/how you did it. Does anyone know how to take the gauge cluster faces off with out taking the needles off? I saw the DIY and its not descriptive on how to remove the faces.
Thanks Looks great!

It's not that much, but I'll post the few pics I have of my hyperwhite LEDs for ya. I purchased the Dome, map and door courtesy lights in a package off a guy on ebay. The vanity mirror, license plate and trunk (not pictured) white LEDs I purchased off a site I had found while searching old threads here... the name doesn't immediately come to mind.

Dome Light:

Door Courtesy Light:

Map Lights:

Vanity Mirror Lights:

Interior rear taken in the middle of the night, no exterior light sources, no flash, only the dome and map lights on:

And just for the heck of it, my white license plate LED... I'll have to take a night shot eventually:

I found 'em in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/visor-lights-619630/

Particularly post #13 and below which provides a link to the site I ordered 'em from and the particular size.

No problemo. I'm glad I managed to get them for that cheap.

Just a word of advice though, if you go hyper white, the LEDs are a little TOO overpowering and in a way blind you as you're trying to look at yourself in the mirror. It most definately provides FAR more light than the stock bulbs though. Since the map lights are also a bit overpowering, I've had people in the passenger seat use the vanity mirror lights as a reading light, and it works perfectly

I bought them maybe 4 months ago and they were about 45 bucks for the set I got. The ones in the dome, map and door lights are LED panels.

I'll have to wait until I get home to see if I can find the specific guy, but a quick ebay search should do the trick if you want to find 'em.

Changing out all the lights in the car was one of the cheapest, simplest and most useful mods that an extreme novice like myself could do, so I got it out of the way first. The factory lights were so dim and ugly, I hated them everytime they came on. I'm more than satisfied with these new lights.

I'll try to snap a few more pics tonight when I get home... any specific requests for angles or anything?

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the terminology... what's a festoon?

In my dome, I have a rectangular LED panel with multiple small LEDs on it. It plugs in via an adapter the guy on ebay provided for the dome and sticks on via the 3M tape he put on the back of the LED panel.
