just give it some time. take it to a muffler shop and ask them to cut off the small flex pipe and weld in a solid pipe.

I have the same Megans on my Accord. The earlier versions had 1 flex pipe. The newer versions have 2 flex pipes.

Welds cracked after 2 years. A hefty Re-weld took care of that.

Stupid question... Why are two flex pipes bad?

they need the 2nd flex pipe bc of fitment problems, and it wears out and start to leak early.

Could you remove the flex pipes and weld in a regular pipe and make them work better? Reason I ask is beacause my friend's dad owns a welding shop and could re-weld everything for cheap.

Do this. Install the headers, weld a straight pipe on the first flex pipe (smallest one), cut second flex pipe off and then weld a better flex pipe

Ok, I'll look into it. I was browsing around Ebay and found some Megan Racing headers with only one test pipe. If I end up getting them I will have a straight pipe welded inplace of the flex pipe. Thanks for all of the info Rajca!.

^whoaaa you only want the str8 pipe to replace one of the two flex pipes. no flex pipes will not allow your exhaust to flex when the engine moves, which could result in rattling, shaking, idk bad stuff. tis no bueno.

Oh, I didn't know that. I've seen other members totally do away with them, but I know better now. Thanks!
