CAI will make noise, Free flowing exhaust will make noise.

spacer wouldnt..
type S Intake Manifold wouldnt..
Spray lol?

its almost a given when you modify your engine it will gain some noise to a certain extent. best bet for no noise is the OEM parts from a TL-s....

but for the price of the parts.. you might as well buy the motor...

i dont think a cold air intake is going to be "too" loud. mid muffler remover will be.

who would get pulleys, header, and a few other things (type-s swap) and not get a cold air intake?

take out the intake resonator or get a cold air first. you wont be disappointed with the "noise" unless you want the car to be super quiet.

uh.. my cold air is freakishly loud...

i'd say do the resonator removal.. add a K&N drop in filter... and make your own pipe that would make it like a icebox..

then.. get headers..... and then pulley... and you'll be set.. won't be so loud..

freakishly loud when you want it to be, tucked away when you need it to be.

Can he do a Type-S TB? CT Headers would not make any noise though my OBX headers are a little noisy (and no it is not leaking).

gonna get pricey. get a comptech ice box and dc, comptech, or xs headers. they wont increase the sound. along with pulleys, and a tune.

would a TL-p with headers, intake, pullys, tb, be faster or as fast as a stock TL-s?

those mods are very minimal in gaining power. If youwant to hook up a TL you need serious Dough, and you need serious time.

If your trying to make your TL fast, and quiet, that won't work. When you free up anything in your exhaust system, it will make more noise.

So, theres nothing you can do.

^^its true. your car isn't fast unless your exhaust is loud.

Spend the big dough and get a full standalone to run the motor and ditch our ECU and have it professionally tuned. Im sure there would be gains to be had more so than using a stand alone and our ECU

fsttyms1, if i do this i would have to get it towed to a tuning shop before i can start it right? Im thinking long and hard about doing this instead of buying hte CL-S ecu

and to the OP

do as fsttyms1 said: CAI, headers, pulleys

the CAI will add some sound, but its not like an exhaust, when you punch it it just roars really nice and deep, especially in vtec.. not the constant drone like an exhaust.

that should definitely keep you happy

the ice box has the filter inside of the box. and its gonna be hard to attach the filter on the bottom bc their is no pipe to connect it too

remove the intake resonator, and drop in a k&n drop in filter.
