Looking for parts for my soon-to-be race car
IDK what parts fit the TL, since google and bing all lead to other acura forums just talking about performance parts. I seriously need help if I ever want to have a car that could kill an M5 on the track.

It's the only M5 he could possibly beat, but when all the money is spend on his TL getting it up there, the M5 will seem like the affordable choice. Probably more reliable, too.

track day cars are different than real world cars,,
beating the other guy to the apex by super late braking, a dive bomb turn in,, and taking his line = killing them
Use Sticky tires in the way of racing slicks,, they say its like driving on rails for a reason,,think left and look left, hands follow and car goes exactly where you want
Makes street tires feel like banana peels on black ice!
go lightweight underdrive crank pulley
then the standard in and out gasket port matching of airflow
heat spacers for intake,,that v6 pumps hot-hot!! right up at the manifold--heat rises,,all works together to reduce power
see our sponsored sales area in The Black Market section
Excelerate and MrHeelToe are the racer gurus
dont forget brakes--the TL weak point besides the clutch packs

see gen3 thread by MichealBenz on `Putting the TL on a diet`
where he removes bit by bit- with actual weight removed shown in many cases
10 lbs here 24 there
till his car was nothing but a race seat and sheet metal~

I'm sure with a few mods, you can easily beat a E28 M5

I understand that these cars have a kick and put out some decent hp and all that. I also understand that engine modding is apart of what we so here.
With that being said, and no disrespect to anyone on here, can we stop treating these cars like high performance machines? If u want to get the very last hp gain then that's a matter of preference but stop treating these beautiful cars as if they were built to race.
But hey I guess modding is modding, I just feel that some performance mods aren't necessary, especially for this type of 4 door sedan.

if your'e gonna beat a BMW M5, make sure you let all the air out of its tires, and that might not even help , some have run flats, its probably best if you just remove its driver, and or rims all together

fyi e39 m5 is 400hp and 6 speed. it is a total beast.
but if your really set on turning your car into a race car then youll need all the performance mods in my signature and a 6 speed swap and a ct supercharger. but have fun getting traction with all that power

You can get an E39 M5 for about 20-25k right now. I would jump on it if they didn't cost fuck tons to maintain and fix.

400 hp isnt that hard to beat if your power to wieght ratio is better than the m5

I got the Shifts
iTrader: (5)
6 speed swap
shaved heads to a 12:1 comp ratio
3 inch exhaust with no cats and long tube headers
completely gut the car so its just a racing seat inside.
full corner balanced suspension with front and rear sway bars.
a mirror to look into and hate yourself for spending enough money to buy a fucking m5 and still having a FWD acura.
