Lambo Doors on a '99 4D

I've been toying with the idea of changing how some of the doors might open...

my first idea was to have some suicide doors... the back 2 doors swinging open to the back of the car

but as i keep looking around for parts and mods for my future TL (oh btw, got my license in July) i keep seeing these universal lambo/scissor door mounts..

so my question is, will those door mounts work on the front two doors?

They work on the front doors only. I suggest not doing it though. That's my opinion.

I don't mind the suicide doors as much as the lambo doors but you're going to have a helluva time getting something like that to work properly, if it's even possible.

now that i think about it, the suicide doors wouldn't be cheap enough... i'd have to get a custom rear door made because the handle has to be toward the center on the outside...

Man everytime one of you 16ns 17ns have these kinda questions i think about myself. I was about to put a freakin Fiber spoiler on my 02TLP, thankGod my friend talked me out of it when i was young.

theres a yellow ricer Eclipse at my school with lambo doors... dunno how it looks when its done properly but it looked cheap on his car. also he has a huge body kit, blue tints for his windows, 18in chrome rims(with no drop), and a ricy exhaust ... too much Need for Speed I guess? lol

It will also make the car that much harder to sell, because not many people out there would want a car that had suicide/lambo doors. My biggest fear with that is if I was in an accident and couldn't get out of the car because of a stupid door mod.

Chris you talk about the resell on the car. so do you think that people are interest in the cleared headlights and LED mods and rims and lowering the car. You can still reverse the suicide/lambo doors after their installed.

IMO cleared headlights, LED dash, are tasteful mods that actually improve something. Rims can be swapped easily. Suicide/Lambo doors require drilling, wire extensions and so on. Sure it can be reversed, but I wouldn't buy a car that was used like that.

Then again some people don't care about selling or they don't have plans to sell. It's all about what the owner of the car wants to do. The point of the forum is to give opinions and ideas. That was my opinion on it. I think that stuff would be cool for strictly show cars, that aren't daily driven. Just for the safety factor alone.

couple more questions...

will honda accord body kits fit on a 99 TL?
will honda accord performance parts fit?

because it's hard to find a selection for the TL, but very easy to find parts/kits for accords

No, and no. The 98-02 accord suspension fits tho.

You serious, You wanna put Body Kit on? Dude, Body Kit Does NOT make this car Looks Good. Simply put a WingsWest or an OEM lip Kit, Do a Drop and Hit some 18" Rims For Looks, and trust me you'll love it.
For Performance simply put some bolton CAI/Headers/Thermoblockspacers/Pulley and you'll be happy.

^^ Wow, you were actually thinking about putting that ugly bodykit on? That bodykit is an embarassment to the TL community.

As for the link...

...the OEM kit you have to check out ur local acura dealership(s) and see if they're in stock. The lip kit has been discontinued. Or you can check the blackmarket on here.

The WW kit you can check out www.wingswest.com to see you can purchase them.

Uh...please don't RICE this car...AHHH

I have a wings west kit front and sides for sale.

A have a couple of people interested on the sides already. PM Me if you are interested.

Best bet piece together the kit. It's much better than buying those ricer kits all at once. But then AGAIN "To each it's own"

OEM LIP KIT or WW LIP KIT. No suicide doors, no lambo doors, no vertical rear and front, no butterfly, or whatever. Honestly bro, if you want to "STAND OUT", drop some money on WORK wheels, air suspension and cosmetic looks ( cleared/painted headlights, smoked out tails, Mugen wing, etc..) Want performance? Sure, get the AEM/Injen intake, get some XS headers, get some UR pulleys, get some comptech/magnaflow exhaust, get some thermoblock spacers, get a Air/fuel controller. Shoot, want to be more unique? Drop a TYPE S motor and a 6 speed swap, then supercharge or turbo the bitch. That is what will make a 99 4D TL stand out. Take it easy!
