POWER!!
Just get an intake from eBay, they cost like $40. All you need to do is just replace the filter it comes with. AND the best part is, you can switch between CAI or SRI.
That is what I did. Now if you want an actual name brand intake, I say go for AEM V2.

Those are pretty decent, although I had a buddy that had one on his CL-S and the filter on that thing looked really shitty (dirty as hell) compared to the cheap-o filter I got from the eBay intake.
This is also an option, and furthermore you can just drill out some quarter sized holes on the bottom of the intake box, and it will essentially be the same exact thing, especially if you get a good K&N drop in filter.

Remove intake resonator is free but get k&n filter for 40$
Short ram intake is 100-150$
Cold air intake is around 200+
Comptech ice box is ~275$ and has the best hp gain I beleive
Custom is also a way you can go which will vary in cost

looking for more power/sound invest your money into headers/catback. All intakes whether they're CAI or short ram. They all generally do the same thing only difference is name brand(includes carb sticker) vs generic.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ thats the best advise i got a while back. intake alone will give you gains in the "butt" dyno but not on the road. atleast not noticable ones. mix n match and ull see real gains

Put some headers if you want some real hp gains. It would be better. But I have an AEM cai v2 and I like it just fine. Love the response and sound, and I live in atl, never stops raining. never had any problems

I think people are way too afraid of CAI, as long as you don't live in the Amazon, and have to drive through rivers or 3 foot deep puddles, chances are, absolutely nothing will happen.

Already tried to convine him to get headers in another thread. He is trying to look for noise and do stuff that does not cost much and gives little gains. headers are the best way to go for performance

Thanks guys and btw I do plan on getting headers but not now maby down the line I was just making sure that I won't have any problems with an intake I did consider drilling holes but I can get a good air intake for 50 bucks so... Ithink it's better to just buy the intake

Probably not, you'll get a pipe that works fine with a shitty filter. If you're going to buy a cheap intake you should spend another $30-$50 on a good filter unless you want your motor to keep eating dirt.

I took the removal of the resonator one step further and installed an old SRI 3" pipe from the air box to the throttle body, eliminating the convoluted piping. Don't care if it does anything additional, but I do like the way it sounds. Oh and def K&N filter. I did the same thing on my Mazda6 V6 and loved it.
