Intake resonator removed

I just took out my intake resonator yesterday and one of my friends said that the resonator cools the air and that it may raise my engine operating temperature. is this true?

Your friend is full of shit. The intake resonator simply quiets the intake sound since our car is a "luxury" sedan. Put your foot to the floor and you'll hear the difference removing it makes. It's brilliant.

Now the only thing you have to do is check your filter a tad more often because it's a little easier for dust, dirt, etc. to find it's way in.

Ok, thanks. I just removed it and it sounds awesome. Now i'm planning on removing the mid-muffler and replacing it with straight pipe. Do you just weld the straight pipe on or do you use clamps or something else?

Yes get it welded do not use clamps. Any decent muffler shop will do this for under 30 bux or should anyways

Ok. What other mods are relatively cheap to do? I was thinking about LED lights in the interior and painting the engine cover.

Its kinda easy because all you have to do is unscrew and take it off easy, but its kinda hard also becuase you have to take off the bumper and reach your hand inside to do the work

I took off the resonator when i put on my short ram. Doing the mid muffler next. I heard someone used a glass pack instead of straight pipe. opinions?

i found it for you, took me 5seconds.
