intake install question

I have a question about how you guys installed your intake. I got this intake from a local shop for like 10 bucks. I plan on painting it black and getting a new filter. The question is there are two tubes that are in the way, where did you guys placed them?

1. I think i'm going to disconnect that from the engine and cut new tubing and run on the back side.

2. I plan on relocating this one as well, does anybody know what this tube is? when I disconnected it there was a lot of water.

Sorry for the newbie question. If you have any pics to backup that would be sweet.

thanks

oh yeah, what kind of sound is coming from your intake at idle? I'm pretty sure this stupid filter sucks because there is a drop drone hissing noise at idle. Is this common on the TL?

uh.... i was gonna act like i never saw this.. but... sorry. i have to...

seriously... uh..... thats some impressive work..

i could go pick up something from pep boys and make something better.

in all honesty... and for your safety.... i'd rather go stock airbox with drop in K&N filter and remove resonators.
IMO. that'll be a lot way better than this ghetto intake.
if you want that cool intake look when you pop your hood. go get a real one.. PLEASE~!.....

i hate to see type-s blow $10 away on a "toys R us" like intake.....

LOL, that is pretty ghetto! I guess you get what you paid for. I've seen other homemade intakes that looks better than that and also better looking install.

My suggestion to you....get a better SRI/CAI or put your stock intake back on.
