I'm doing the cl-s 6 swap; motor and transmission. I have the wring harness from that engine too now i have two things stoppin me from putting it into the car...
1- I might be stuck with out the cl-s 6 ecu which would really suck cuz I wouldn't have the raised RPM's. Since mine is a 99 tl-p not sure what i should do... whether or not to get a type s ecu for best results or what could help cuz most are running the cl-s6 ecu (minus phee)
2- When i was checking everything out i discovered the flywheel was pretty much gone, way too much free play (almost solved this one- Already purchased the Clutchmasters Stage 1 kit with an aluminum flywheel)
3- Going to school and work everyday really doesn't give me too much time to play around with this so its dragged on for almost a month now. =/ i wanna drive it already.
4- I's also putting in a few more goodies; a high flow cat (xcelerate) , xs headers (off richiev6), comptech ice box. Which is taking me a to get the money for all this. but might as well since i have everything apart.


can anyone help me out here, what should i do about the ecu? I have pretty much everythin off the cl except for the ecu (including the under dash harness)

 

A cls6 ecu runs about $350 or buy the rv6 module ($500) and use ur 99 tlp ecu.

 

With the CL-S motor you have you will have to get the ECU from it. That motor wont work with the auto ECU.

 

350 from the dealer? or aftermarket? Cuz the guys from around here are charging me way beyond that much for one.

Hell I think that Pinho got 1 still you should hit him up. Also you might wanna change Dash Harness B to the one for the CLS 6 but that is optional.
