How to stop the humming!!!

I bought a short ram intake awhile back and there was a awful humming noise coming from the intake. I figured out that it was the plate in front of the throttle plate. I also noticed that while the plate was open right when i would start the car it wouldnt do it but when the plate would close it would start again. Is there anyway to stop the humming!! It got so bad i put my original air box back on.

Even with the stock box on and the resonator removed it makes the "whale speak" Only way to eliminate it is go completely back to stock with all components..

the comptech system using a resonator after the air filter which drastically reduces the humming. I read that if you remove this resonator there is power to be gained but i havent seen this verified.

i had a aem v2 CAI that i took off after a few months because i couldn't stand the humming noise....switched it to an aem short ram, it's not as aggressive sounding as the cold air...but no more idle hum.
