HID Retro Fit and LED dash

For those of you that have done the retor fit HID kits, what was the difficulty level? Is it worth it to pay a little extra and have someone do it for you like customlightz.com? Ive never attempted anything like this so i'd rather not screw anything up, you know? I checked ebay for parts and its just under $300 just for the projectors. The kits come with the wiring and ballasts but if you already have HID's is that all necessary? Is it just plug and play?

As for the Dash LED's......i have no idea how to solder but i want to replace all the dash lights with LED's as well as the cruise, VSA, seat heter, and door panal lights with LED's....I just dont like the stock look. How difficult is this to do?

Ive searched and lookied at the DIY's but was looking for a little more insight.
thank you to anyone willing to take the time to help out a fellow member.

Anyone is Oregon who would like a weekend project to help me out?!

Anyone? Over 8 hours and only 20 views?

I'm looking for pictures of how the projector is actually mounted to the headlight assembly. All the pictures ive seen it just looks as if its sitting there and no one has a DIY showing the actual step of bolting it to the headlight assembly. I'm lloking to do this MOD asap but if its too difficult i guess i'll just look into sending my lights to custonlightz.com or something.

any help is appreciated.

For the LEDs, it is very simple. soldering isn't the hard part. the hardest part is taking everything apart without breaking something.

Still looking for how the shroud is attached to the projector and if it hides the mounting screws? How hard is it to take the lens out? I just dont want to spend all the money on the parts and totally screw up the lights.

I just dont know how to connect the resistors seen in some of the DIY's. And do you have to tap into the fuse box or anything like that?

Just solder the resistor to the positive end of the LED. Nope you don't need to do anything to the fuse box. Read some of the posts in the DIY section.

It's not that hard man. The main thing you need to do is find out a way to bolt the projectors to your stock reflector housings. That's all. So however you do it, or however you bolt the projectors down, is your main goal. Otherwise, it takes a lil time and patience. And also, you won't be needing any ballasts for your retro. You already have ballasts. Just need to buy D2S bulbs.. please only get 4300k D2S bulbs. PM if you got ???'s. I'll walk you through it.
