Which Headers Are Best

Ok so I was wondering if someone could tell me which headers are the best for under $110 before shipping. Ebay has alot for around $70, and when i say best i mean performance gains.
I have a 02 Type S with a CAI (if that matters and P2R TB Spacer in the mail), Thanks in advance!

lot of them scream headaches

if you can find a used comptech, i'd get that.. or if lucky.. XS-P (although those are a hit or miss.. i've had my luck with them..)

if not.. DC Sports.. last resort... megans or obx.

get DC's or used XS Power headers if you can find them. Used CT headers are still usually over $500.00. They are excellent but way overpriced for what they are........steel.

I have the generic headers and they are fine, just a pain to install didn't seem to want to go on broke a bolt cause the holes wouldn't line up but it was worth it for the performance gains

Jeezus, I didn't think they were that bad... =[

Go with DC, unless your willing to wait/hunt around for CT/XS.

nobody mentioned JVT headers...after looking them up, they have good reviews for other cars and the 1 5/8" in, and 2 1/4" out is great for the power band.
$150 shipped

I went with the Megan Racing headers and have not experienced any of the problems that I had read in the past. I took extra precautions and used Permatex High Temp gasket compound and loose fit all my header pieces, gradually and random evenly tightened all the flanges. They matched up perfectly with my Tanabe SMH stainless steel exhaust that I had previously installed. I just went with a Random Technology high flow cat. To me, it is an awesome set up. The only thing I had to modify is the aft O2 sensor. I undone one clip and rerouted the sensor wire to reach the bung.
It has a deep low rumble/growl at idle and during WOT excelleration up to 5K rpm and then she opens up with a NASCAR sound. No popcorn popper sound there!
I don't think you would disappointed with the Megans and they would save you well needed bucks for other mods. They may sound different with other exhaust systems though, not sure.

DC if you want quality on a budget, Ive modded and install the ebay ones before(not on my car), with a little work (i.e. port match, check welds and tack weak spots) there worth it..
even worked my oem one on my last car, for 30$ it looked just like my DC did.
I have the OBX turbo header now and only had to do 3 tack welds and clean up 2 collectors.
