i dont noe wat u mean by exhust system but it depends wat you are lookin for. Your full exhuast system would be headers either high flow cat or no cats at all and cat back exhaust. Alot of people on this site get a pair of mufflers and custom piping for the exhaust. Search the fourums you will find out alot about that many topics to look at. The purpose of headers and a exhaust is to help get rid of a restrictive flow. Headers are of the the big gains we can get beside from a supercharger or a nitrious set up

Headers and cat back exhaust are two different parts. It goes headers (right off the engine), then the cat, then mufflers.

i noe that i was just sayin ur full exhust includes your headers too just cuz u bolt on a cat back u still have restriction from the headers and the cat. So to me a true full exhaust is from the headers back

I believe our exhaust system is very efficient. If you are not looking for the stainless steel look and sound, just go for the headers and you will get some noticeable HP gain.

If you want sound, the bling bling tailpipe and power, go for the whole system - headers, high flow cat and exhaust.

Just my $0.02

ANd full cat back exhausts on our cars give less hp gains than a K&N filter. they are a waste of money unless your looking for more sound. Our system isnt very restrictive. Headers make big gains for us

You shoulndt loose any power from a exhaust. And the TL can be the most annoying car to drive with a exhaust.

in your guys opinion what would be the best type of exhaust system to put on the tl is there a kit that will come with headers back to tail pipe or is it headers to cat. and then cat back.

No kit will come with headers and exhaust, its all separate. I would go with DC or XS for the headers, and Apexi, Comptech, or Tanabe for exhaust.
