^lmao, its funny cause everyone at work calls me "pwall"

Yea, modding is a disease, I cant stop. Still gotta put this in too

Now the question is, which way to the slots have to go? I read one of the threads with this question and everyone is saying the opposite thing. Are the slots supposed to face like this: "/" ? So the bottom left and top left rotor are drivers side and the bottom right and top rotors are passenger side?

install slotted rotors in the direction towards the front of the car -- so in the picture, the 2 on the right are passenger side, and the two on the left are driver side.

that pulley is sweet -- UR or eBay (nm i see UR written on it)? Acceleration is much smoother with the pulley after 100

DIY for the pulley ? Its a pain in the ass lol

I think you should see acurazine sponsoring vendor MrHeelToe
in the Off Topic Sponsored Sales area here- see his post "Racing Brake UP rotors available", or his site www.heeltoeauto.com
Click on brakes then combo for deal on rotors with Hawk Pads

must read www.racingbrake.com
vented 1 piece for Acura CL/TL
patented inner cooling vanes, special alloy, heat treated.

You do not need drilled rotors- see the one in my avatar
fronts 306$ with the pads brought to my door- sweet deal
with rears 5and change

well there is an easier way to get the stock pulley off -- from snowman81 (jeff): if you put a breaker bar on the lug and have the breaker bar touch the frame, when you turn the engine on for a second the pressure against the frame will loosen the lug....may want to PM him for more details but something to that effect.

ray - yeah not much going over 100 in those freakin skates of mine lol...but when i had the stock tlp wheels on -- much traction and flying

They are gripforce rotors. Did some research on them through other forums, seems like alot of Mustang guys are happy with this ebay brand.

MK, im gonna have one of the techs at work take care of it for me. They are all honda techs so they know their stuff. Especially since most of them are car enthusiasts also. But if it comes down to it, i'll follow Jeffs advice.

For the difficulty removing the stock crank pulley and then getting the torque just right on the new one- with directions like 51ft lbs + 60 degrees

Good luck doing that on the ground

60 bucks well spent I say

Looks nice Pizaul. How much did the pulley run you?

I am soon going to get new front slotted rotors and new pads all around. I still can't decide which ones to get.

I've got it down to either Rotora rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads (from vendor Excelerate) or Racingbrake rotors with Hawk HPS pads (from vendor MrHeelToe) up front because I have heard nothing but good things about them both. The Rotoras and EBC pads are slightly cheaper.

Also, when I do choose the setup, should I just get the same pads in the back for the OEM rotors (the front rotors are the only ones warped, and will wait until back ones go until I get new ones)? For example get the EBC's for rear if I go with Rotora and EBC up front or get Hawk HPS if I go with Racingbrake and Hawk up front, or should I mix and match? Would EBC Greenstuff or Hawk HPS pads work good with OEM rotors?

All of your expertise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance, KSuchdeve

Ok just a random questoin about brakes. Why can't we use bigger break in the back? Why can't we intall another set of brakes that we run in the front, just get another st of calipers. Or is there much more to it????

The braking force of 70/30 in the TL is based on its weight differential of 68/32
Installing more brakes in the back would cause it to break loose and come around like a rear wheel drive car under hard braking in to a corner

Get awesome front brakes- upgrade to legend calipers if you want-
just get decent stuff for the rears

Racingbrake rotors up front, NAPA rotors back and Hawk HPS pads all around

You can keep the rear rotors OE, but I think they were like $20 each.

No problem. It is a great combo, but I have heard almost nothing but good stuff from Rotora and EBC Greenstuff users as well. Just comes down to a personal preference. Do the research and get what you think will cater to your needs.
