which fog lights to buy

I ended up buying the wrong fog lights for my 1999 acura tl. Should i buy the honda civic or honda accord fog lights for my car, which year fit with my car? Hit me up with suggestions or links to websites. Thanks

I had bought these fog lights thinking they were gonna fit my car but everyone says they won't, can anyone explain why? http://www.amazon.com/1999-2003-2000...4695902&sr=8-1

I paid a total of 170, but they'll only give me a refund of 140, I bought the 01-03 civic fog lights for 30 bucks lol. I should have educated myself through this website before I made such a purchase. Thanks for everyone's advice, I bought 01-03 civic fog lights on ebay and the hid kit from hidextra.com 6000k to match my kaixen 6000k bulbs. i'll put up pics when everything is done

Yeah I've been looking for foglights for my 2000 3.2TL As well. I keep seeing those foglights for the 02-03 model. Yeah apparently the shape is totally different for the 02-03 models. The 99-01 models seem to have a fatter fog light. So the 01-03 foglights for the civic is my best bet huh? Can you please link me to the ones you bought, just so I can be sure. ThankS!

i have the civic fogs, they look great...

those guys should give you a FULL refund, they posted misinformation saying they work with 99-03 models, when they only work for 02-03 models.

Yeah I'm sure most vendors don't even know the difference.

Thanks for the picture, that is definitely the model TL I have. The fog shape isn't as sharp as the other model. Is there anything I should know about the install? They include everything I need, correct? No soldering or custom wiring required? So these bolt on correctly no problem, I'm assuming.

I'm looking at something like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-F...Q5fAccessories

Thanks!

yeah that link is straight. but the questions you are asking sounds like you expect it to be a walk in the park, certainly not, it was fun, but it was tedious, it took me a while to do, you have to cut away at the corner pockets with a dremel, then you have to use the dremel and cut away at the foglight housing, you'll probably also have to cut away at the frame to get the bumper to mount up to the car. you'll have to use quicksteel and some RTV to stick the housings to the bumper. check the DIY's it's not hard, but definately not easy. as far as wiring goes, i took mine in, and i had them hook up an 02-03 foglight switch in my blank spot next to the TCS button.

i do have 3000k HID's in them, they work out really well.

at least for civic foglights yes, or it won't clear the frame

Notch the part of the frame it touches. Thats what most have done in the past. You arent making the frame any weaker from trimming the little bit needed.

Thanks for the link, info, and pics everybody. This forum is very helpful.

I did visit the DIY page, and everything seems more clear now. I thought it would be a perfect fit haha. I will place the order soon and will chime in once I get everything installed. I'm a bit unhappy that there isn't any fog light kits made to fit exactly in our TL models, but only in the 02-03 =[. I'll also run some 3k HIDs from Meng Motorsports.
