Exhaust Swap...

Any one know of any issues or performance problems with a 99 OEM cat back exhaust being placed on a 2003 TL-S?

For comparison purposes this is a pic of the TL-S exhaust. I think the TL-S exhaust is more free flowing then the 99 exhaust.

idk. that looks exactly like my '99's exhaust. maybe they have different diameter piping but watever the deal is if you feel your exhaust is cloggy in any way get rid of the cat (unless your state doesnt allow you) or get a new cat//higher flow/hollowed out. I have reason to believe mine is

None of those cans pictured are the cat. The two on the long pipes are the resonators. The cat goes right before those two.

the 99 or TLP exhausts do not match up with the TLS catalytic converter. This is why I couldn't get the Comptech catback to fit on my TLP.

if you do get it to fit, i wouldnt expect many problems. i know there were some members who were running superchargers with their stock catback with no problems. to that effect, the power made from a TLS should flow fine through a stock catback, TLP or TLS

I would not put a TL-P exhaust on a TL-S. The TL-S has has a 30% more free flowing exhaust over the TL-P

As far as fitment, something would need to be done to make it fit.
