Exhaust shim?

Just completed install of Tsudo axlebacks. Was not too hard once I got those nuts cherry red they spun off fairly easy. After checking everything out I noticed that the driver side tailpipe was a little higher than the passengers and was actually on the lip of the bumper. What could I use as a shim to 1) make it line up better and 2) keep it from melting my lip?? Can't bend the pipe right now so I gotta find something to stick in there. Thanks everyone.

maybe your hanger is worn out on the passenger side?

I used a t-clamp I think that's what it is called it is a circle and you tighten using a flat head. Evened it right up and it doesn't pop like zip ties. I put it over the rubber hanger

So I should bring passenger side up?? Right now there's a small gap on passenger side and it's tight against drivers side as is.

I had the same problem on the passenger side so I did two things
1 I unbolted and got someone to hold the passenger side up then tightened down. That helped a little
2 then I used the t clamp and it leveled it out perfectly

I think I'll loosed drivers side and try to get it lower too. It's tight against there like I said and I'm thinking I'll have a melted lip soon if I dont get it off there.

Yeah i had to do that too because mine started melting the back part of the lip, I loosened it then pulled it down a couple times and retightened it back up now my exhaust sits perfectly on both sides.

Just bend the exhaust hanger a little bit to get it more even.

On mine the passenger side looks great but drivers needs to get moved. Hangers are all in good shape so that's not the issue. If I can't get the driver side to match I gotta bend my Y pipe or find something to shove in there and move it that way.

Oh I thought the passenger side was hanging to low. Yeah just try unbolting it and pull it down then tighten up if not you have to do what nsxnext said and bend the hanger a little

Beats me, I didn't want to bend a hanger on my exhaust since it was new and didn't want to break it or bend it to much

Trust me I don't wanna bend it either. But Id rather bend it than have it melt my lip because I left it on there.

Either bend the exhaust hanger on the car some to give more clearance or get new rubber hangers. Many members have had to get different rubber hangers to get the exhaust to sit properly. They are only a couple bucks at the auto parts stores.
