egr porting? and grounding motor?
egr port/passage CLEANING is a DIY we need to keep that system operating
Intake port opening to gasket size matching- can be done by a shop or at home if good with a dremel- that opens up and smooths airflow into the manifold
One company here offers new manifolds that are ported on their special machine for max precision and power
Grounding is to add more ground straps from points on the engine to a central point or just to a good ground on frame for each wire
See the diy master list https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/new-official-2nd-gen-tl-diy-thread-706083/

you can always google basic parts questions like this too

the extra ground straps improve signal stabilty from sensors to the ECU, so the car does run slightly better
you can DIY a set easily, doesnt need to be thick wire--see parts stores for metal strip ones from exhaust manifold bolt to ground point as examples

use the link I posted above to the diy list
read the one about grounding kits
look up ads on the internet for them, or our vendors ads in the sponsored sales link also provided above!
- see pics there of installation
You can use a small metal plate bolted to the frame rail and run all the wires to it.
Or you can run each wire to the frame by itself,,depends on how much room you have to work
a wire from alt, ps and engine should go to the extra ground--those help the most
Do not go in series with the grounds,,go from part to ground, not part to part to part-- to ground
one threads post has it all going together and finally to battery ground--NO!!
doesnt work right that way.need seperate ground system -from the battery
