the vac line is extremely easy! i hadn't even done an oil change by myself in my life (until i put seafoam in the oil) and i still got the can in with no problems.

I found the vac line to be most beneficial in terms of power output.

I put a can in the oil, drove around for about 15 minutes and changed the oil. It was black, but looked like standard used dino oil so I'm not sure if that was long enough.

As for the gas, 2oz per gallon in the tank is the cleaning dosage that seems to have been agreed upon.

Happy foaming--just helped foam an es300 with 175k miles (it looked like a forest fire) and foaming an SL with 125k helped it crack 90 for the first time (saturn, not benz)

:edit: i felt the biggest increase in power came from the vac line, but it's good to do the other 2 methods to get your injectors and oil passages clean. as 01tl4tl notes, vtec runs off changes in oil pressure.

i wish i knew how to insert full size images like cool people.

In ImageShack, where the links are, use the "Code" tab and the "Direct" link. Then put "" after the link.

Quote this post to see a what I mean.

Ok so just to clarify: 2000 TL

1. Pour a whole can into half full gas tank ?

2. Pour a whole can into oil tank ?

3. Let it suck a whole can into the VAC line ? (as seen in this post)

4. Drive around for 15 mins or so until the smoke is gone ?

5. Do oil change ?

6. Enjoy the new performance ? / done ?

Should I do everything while the car is running ? I know the car has to be on for the VAC line and driving step.
All should take a few hours right ?

wrong order. you don't want to do the smoking drive while it's in the oil. do the oil tank and change either before or after the other things. and don't put it in the oil while the engine is running.

Ok so

1. One can in the oil tank, then drive around for 15 mins or so then do oil change ?

2. One can in the gas tank.

3. One can in the VAC line ?

Steps 2 and 3 at the same time while car is off ?

with car off, put 1 can in oil, drive around for 15 min (normally), change oil.

one can in gas tank

turn car on
one can in vac line
turn car off and wait 10-15 min
drive around for 10-15 min (HARD driving, keep the revs at 4000-5500 rpm as much as possible, try the sport shift and hold it in a gear so you don't have to speed)

I would put it in the oil, suck it turn the vac line do the drive then change it. or at least wait till the drive is over till i added it to the oil. That way any contaminants that dont get burned off or any access in the motor get changed with the oil change. Its ok to drive for a while with it in the oil

So your saying put it in the oil, and the gas while off. Then add it in the vac line slowly. wait 15, then drive 15, change the oil and done?

the concern with leaving it in the oil too long is that all the gunk will clog up your filter. if you didn't have too many miles on this filter then you should be fine...

No it doesnt. Follow whats in the DIY or use an existing hose. I spray mine in BEFORE the TB that way it cleans every thing.

If I dont pour it in the oil tank then I dont have to do an oil change ? it will smoke if I put it in the VAC line ?

I just poured a whole can into the gas tank today with half tank of gas. Dont really notice anything. Should I wait until the gas goes empty then fill up gas ?

did the vac line treatment to my wifes odyssey the other day, its got 189,000 Miles-and boy did it make the difference! It was amazing the amount of smoke that came out when I took it out for a drive..lol.

also hit the TL up yesterday (vac line) didnt smoke near as much, probably has a lot to do with the car having 60,000 less miles than the van. Seems like it smoothed out the idle quite a bit. Waiting for my gas to drop so I can do the tank treatment on both vehicles.

Good stuff!

If you're talking about 3" wide, you're crazy. If you're talking about 3" long, you're still crazy, gonna need a lot more that that.

I read that someone said 3" but I got a 3/8 tube. So after I wait 10-15 mins after VAC line, do I start the car and rev (what I see everyone do on Youtube) or start and drive off right away ? Do I drive hard like a crazy driver ? people said to keep at 4K rpm, I dont think my car can stay on 4K rpm ?
