Hey guys. Got my first 'somewhat' "DIY" on the TL. Read that our intakes are already cai-based intakes so the removal of the resonator was the main thing to remove in order to get that "roar" from a cai.
When the bumper came off in order to get to the res directly in front of the driver side front tire
Splash guard removed along with res
Got her all cleaned up 😎
And my buddies dog during the process 😂
Had my plate in my window till some... Kind.... Police officer told me it was Texas law to keep it on your front bumper. But nonetheless got my intake res off. It really does give that extra bit of life I've been missing too!!
That's nice! until you realize you could have remove it without removing the bumper
And this isn't a "DIY" at all.... No instructions, No Step by Step... Only pictures of you removal of the Resonator doesn't mean its a DIY.
Or perhaps wrong Thread Title was used.
Great color, try cutting the box, breathes better that way
Ohhh I didn't even think of that. I always had read of people just removing the box entirely but if I decide to replace it I'll trim some of it. And thanks! It's my first car but I plan on repainting it metallic blue

Anyway congrats bud!!
I thought DIY just meant do it/did it yourself but since I know it's an instructional thread I'll be more cautious as to what I put next time. Still kinda new to everything. But thanks my next mod/"upgrade" will either be coils/springs or exhaust!
