custom cat back system question.

What do you guys think about getting a custom 2.5 cat-back muffler made instaead of buyign a bolt on system and would it be the same in terms of performance? What kind of price difference are we talking about?

Did you notice a difference in sound and performance and was it worth it?

i bought two universal magnaflow mufflers, a dynamax 18" resonator, and had a shop run 2.5 inch piping to a magnaflow y-pipe then to my mufflers. Ran me about 500 for everything including install. Sound wise it is awesome, but mine may be a bit loud for some peoples taste. Performance wise you won't gain much, maybe 2-5hp depending if you have a type S or base model. Mine was definately worth it since i love the sound and looks.

I have the type S. So that`s what I`ll do then. I`ll have the recommend to me which is better. Then later on I will install the comptech headers with downpipe.

i have an apexi ws2.
bolted right up.
sounds great.
not a bad price either.
it is mandrel bent.
i doubt you'll even find a shop that will mandrel bend your custom piping for a reasonable price.
