CD changer help!!

CD changer help!!

Will any other year TL head unit or cd changer fit into a 1999 TL. My friends 99 TL doesnt read burned CD's what year did they start to read them? and will it fit in the 99? or should he buy a factory cd changer from another year tl?

what u should do is forget the factory cd changer and go with an aftermarket one...i have an '03 and my factory cd changer stopped reading CD-R's after a while and just broke...the dealership installed a new one for free and that didnt work either so i went with a panasonic one from cardomain.

yes but if you instal an aftermarket CD player wouldnt you lose the 6 indash cd-changer? i also have an 03 TL Type-S. any other "easy" mods would be a help too thx

the indash 6 disk doesnt have nearly the problems (none that i can remember) that teh single player (99-01) or the trunk mounted 6 disk changer.

Aftermarket is by far the best but not every one likes the look of it
