Heres the thread with pics of how high the hood is raised and what dmg it did at that height.

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-photograph-gallery-99/03-tl-s-w-mdx-im-spacer-%3D-intense-cali-lift-766318/

When I had the 09 TL SH-AWD IM on the top plate wasnt as close but the part of the intake closest to the front of the car was rubbing on the hood. The TL-S doesnt have as much room under the hood.

anyone going to try to photoshop the power buldge?

IMO I think Mr. Heel-toe should do CF trunks first, CF hoods are kool, but a CF trunk would have more excitement. And thats something u NEVER see, unless its custom made, which u still wouldnt even see. If im gonna pay close to 800-900, thats gonna be for a CF trunk. And I seen offical CF hoods for less than 700 for our cars....

They have CF Hoods on the Market, why dont u create Trunks and im sure you would be the leading seller in CF trunks, Since I havent seen no other company that really has is on the market for 2nd Gens.

Anyone can get a CF hood from different places, but once u make that trunk, you will actually be the main person with them. Do something new Mr.Heeltoe, just like your CF 3pc spoilers, that was amazing, imagine the trunk to match...........

Hood- ok
Trunk- TITS!!!!!!!

^^True.

BUT, I'm not doing it just cause it's CF.. I want the power bulge, which I'm in desperate need of for what I've done with my car..

But yes, I would pay some nice cash for a CF trunk, too.. Maybe do a CF Package group buy

CF roof spoiler, hood, trunk, 3 piece spoiler???

I would have no interest in a trunk, but a hood with power buldge (assuming it looks as good as we are imagining) I would be interested in.

agreed!
put me down for a trunk. it already took me 3yrs to find a oe tuning hood when i first bought it in 03 and now these hoods are made from various of ebay sellers. same with engine covers. the only thing i've yet to see for this car is a CF trunk.

for those who already have a cf food for their 99-01 and those who already have a POS quality 02-03 CF hood would definitely cough up the $ for a trunk. Also i can see the trunks being sold more then hoods since this covers the whole 2gen TL from 99-03 and you know if you want a CF hood that bad you know your going to have to get a trunk to match.

Also a trunk is a trunk, plain and simple. no vents/scoops... no power bulge... no debate
produce and sell... if only it was that quick and easy
