still the roof spoiler he had to make a custom mould (all though it is quite a bit smaller so easier to work with) where a hood you can just copy it from an OEM hood for the most part (some areas will proably need to refined though) (also has alot more attachment points though, that have to be alot stonger)

so yes harder, but if you are comfortable working with CF, should not be all that hard to make a hood

true. but then the cost would goo up. search youtube on how to make a cf hood. u need to make a mold, than anther mold, then a diff mold for the structure underneath, insert nuts into the hood for the hinges/ hood supports. its a lot of work.

shit, a cf hood for the r35 is $15k. i know that its an expensive car and what not, but making it with all the contours and price and demand.

yeah, but also with more expensive cars, some manufactures like their prices to reflect with how much the car was new, even though you know it is nowhere near that much to develope and produce that product
kinda like how Acura dealers like to charge more then Honda dealers quite often for the exact same part number

so i guess we will see if he would be willing to make us some CF hoods

woah to buya cf hood in hawaii 1000 bucks eaasy lol its like 500 + free shipping to conus bam 500 more for shipping to hawaii its really really ddepressing lol but on the other hand maybe the ones that dont fit right will have enough gap to create like side vents to help cool the overall engine temps sounds like performance gains haha but i think the could just use an oem hood to make the original mold which isnt that much and have the underneath be flat and ugly ?

worth it though, if you can make it for that price, renderings PLEASE , and could that include the raised center section for us that want to do the MDX spacer mod, and not have to pop the hood or anything

also a CF grill be awesome too, to match the hood and bring the CF to a point , if that makes sense

$800 I am pretty sure I can do. Worst case maybe $850. Shipping in the 48 is probably about $160-170.

Renderings? I'd just make a stock replacement hood. I;m not into all the vents and stuff. I have hoods made for CRXs too, not a new thing for us. These turn out great, just like my spoilers and stuff. I could make it with a power buldge but that is going to raise the cost an easy $100-150.

at least renderings of the power bulge hood then , and i think i said before too, proably to just extend the stock lines (the ones that match up with the grill), to keep a stock like look, while still giving us more room under the hood
but yes i geneally hate those vents and stuff too (some cars they look alright on [not many though, and even then depends on the exact design too], and mandatory that they actually be functional)

yeah, im down for the CF hood!!!

I still wanna see some good pics of the roof spoiler heeltoe made, I only saw a couple closeups.... anyone have pics of it?

Id rather have fenders made before doors, plus it would be cheaper

space under the hood, got plenty of room right now , but the whole point for a power bulge hood, wood be to add said room below the hood, so you could do a spacer and such

and the hood, i don't want to pay for a stock hood (and grill), money is better spent towards aftermarket parts

roof spoiler ^^^ gfrg has one, but not installed yet lol

cf fenders be sweet too, but not going to save a whole lot of weight there, they are not that heavy to begin with, so not much to actually save lol

i think it would be hard to make a power bulge because of the crease we have in the middle. a cowl hood extending from the grill lines could work but i think it might look ridiculous because of how wide it gets

i really want to put X5 vents on my hood (seeing how well the ultimate cooling mod for 3rd gens works) i think it would look great
