When I first had my IceBox installed years ago, one of the "nuts" in the base began spinning freely. This meant I couldn't un-screw one of the screws and open the box to clean the filter. i had it RMA'd and got the new base installed. Here it is 2 years later and it's at it again. I called Comptech up and they're now out of the game and told me to call CT-engineering. Nice. It seems like this is a design flaw to me - has anyone else experienced this and figured a way around it?

 

i just drilled the screw out, take the top off, take out the bottom, punch out the bottom nut, and i just used a screw a bit bigger to hold the half down. u can barely see the screw and it works for me.

but try calling them first

 

Many have had it happen. Most in the past have gotten comptech to replace it. Call who they told you to first. If not you will have to drill it out.
