Another HID problem

Let me start by saying I have changed HID bulbs replaced ballasts and converted fogs to HID's on three different TL's but I have never encountered this problem.

I had moisture in a set of cleared headlights. I could see the water dripping down the inside of the light it was so bad. Before I could fix it I was driving home at night and weird things started happenning like disco stobe headlight blinking and flickering. I removed the light and found the ballast was wet and rusty probably not the first time it got wet. I put an old ballast in a depo set of lights I had... and nothing. When I turn my lights on, my drivers side low beam is off and the passenger side and both fogs are on. I got a new OEM ballast and igniter and here's what I get: When I first turn on the lights the passenger lights up normally, the drivers side high beam comes on and the low beam flickers for a few seconds then both the low beam and high beam turn off together. I tried two ballasts three igniters and two brand new bulbs and no change.

Tomorrow I will try the new setup on the passenger side to be 100% sure it's not the ballast or bulb.

Any suggestions?

It was the fuse. Didn't think fuse was the issue since the igniter was flickering.

All Good!

Under hood #21 I think it was 20 amp it also blew the fuse I added to do the foglight mod. Fuses were both blown.

im a tech at acura in ky and we have alot of 00 to 03 with those problems there is a control module under the head light held in with three screws that connect to the igniter and then to the headlight the control module will go bad on those if any kind of moisture gets in the head light causing the problems you are having

xD-- so that means an aftermarket replacement `kit` with new ballast and connector wire, with its own inline module-

installing that will solve the headlight goes off, comes on with switch reset,,goes off again game??
we have seen rust inside the ballast itself but that module makes sense
