Another fraking CAI question thread

ok guys, im allover ebay lookin for a CAI for my 99 tl.
i want to know a couple of things about them.
What model years will work for my 99? eg. will the 00,01,02,03 CAIS fit my 99?
will i be able to get a cheap CAI and a good filter and boost performance?
and what are gthe brands that increase the most power?m JDM? injen? nuespeed? AEM? or does it truly matter?

thanks again for answering the redundant thread, i just cant find all the info

You are gonna get a lot off ppl that say, "its just a pipe, get a cheap intake and a good filter and its the same thing". Its not. Go with Injen. Great fitment and durability, (some ppl with AEM have had problems with the vibramount tearing a hole in the tube due to bad motor mounts) and great performance gains. You won't be dissapointed.

Honestly you should use the search button. This has been discussed on this forum since 00. All cai's from 99-03 that are for the TL-P will work. Remember you get what you pay for. Stick with AEM, AEM V2<-- Preferred by most, Injen Or the best comptech.

are you hitting the search button more than once in 60 seconds? I just tried it in opera and it worked for me.

Fill in the keyword, then select the area you want to search in (ie 2nd gen performance Parts and Mod, photo gallery ETC.. Then hit search ( once you get more advanced you can narrow the searches down even more by member sorting orders etc..

Oh and Firefox is a much better browser IMO

yea, it works for me now, it was probably because i would hit ENTER then click Go, so it was a user Error, my bad for the redundant post. firefox is good but i dont liek having to download plug-ins for everything, opera comes with all i need. thanks for the help

DO NOT GET AN EBAY INTAKE. I did n regreated it the bracket broke and it just was rattling around. Got my self an AEM CAI and saw the piping size was a little bigger and also it was more insulated too. I did also notice a little bit of difference in performance and sound too. Trust me stick with AEM or INJEN dont go with that ebay crap

blackberry FTL!

its either too flimsy (pearl) or too bulky (other blackberrys), and lately they've started to become trendy.

i think blackberry is overrated

I have warned several people about this problem, and all I got was "all intakes are the same, its just a pipe. Get a good filter and you are set." I told you guys Don't be cheap, do it right the first time...
