have any of you guys on here have any exp. with the neo. i went to see my buddy dirtyjohn today bout his turbo tl. its off his car now by the way. but hes still on nos and he told me that the neo would be great for tuning my car. said its a piggy back and can be tuned to whatever mods you have on your car. lmk what you guys think. i can pick one up for 273 and dirty john said he would help me hook it up

 

is dirty john sellin the turbo kit? is tht why he took it off the car?

 

to put a bigger one, but i don't know if he's doing anything else to his TL cause he just picked up a brand new S2000

 

said he was just gonna use it for a daily. still has the nos and the afc neo with a tune. the teggy he just picked up is what is going to get boosted

 

Check out the CL side of the forum There are a few that run it. There is actually a PnP harness you can get as well. It needs to be dyno tuned on the advanced settings. Guys over there have seen 10+ whp from it. (im looking to add one myself)

 

I'm gettin one after pullies, headers and spacers.

 

I am expecting to have my car dyno tuned sometime next week by P2R with the Apexi Neo with my current mods including p2r's intake manifold. I"ll post results when I get them.

does anyone know of a good place near NJ area that is really good at tuning our cars with the NEO? i have it installed and im just waiting to find "that special place". I picture the place glowing and naked women greeting you at the door and free dyno runs and.... um excuse me... just a place that isnt gonna f**k up my car and give me good gains across the board. thx

 

neo is gr8 for basic bolt ons...had it on my car for about 2 weeks..had to get rid of it for supercharger tho

 

why?

 

i thought youd get better gains with a neo + sc?

 

Update

I talked to Sean at P2R today and he says there is no way that the manifolds will be anodized by monday which is good because my boomslang harness just got shipped out today and is expected wed or thursday. We are thinking thursday or friday for everything to be installed and tuned.

Would it be worth it to tune with just CAI? Anything more than 5hp throughout the range IMO is pretty good.

 

the tuner im using says that i will be seeing better results with greddy emanage & i can add the HBP later with the emanage

 

Well yea but you "DIDNT" have to get rid of it for the SC.

 

Friday @ 11 A.M is the intake manifold install and after the dyno tune...will post results sometime after

I got the tester price, but if I remember correctly, $625 shipped from excelerate.

 

soo wait? how much power did u gain from just adding the new intake plenums? and what are your total mods and power. i may sound retarted but i just want to make sure what i know is correct. lol

 

about 8whp, 13ftlb w/ plenums before messing with the Neo

The onli i noticed w the neo thou if u car is completely stock its kinda of a waste cause when i dyno my car the air/fuel ratio around 12 13 anyways so all i could do is pick up about 2 hp n lower vtec to get some more torque. but P2R picked up about 20 Hp n almost 40 ft/lbs of torque on their accord that intake n full exhaust so for u guys w bolts on somethin to look into. ps u gonna love how much gas mileage u get out of it.
