6000K HID Headlights
6000K HID Headlights
So first question, which bulb is correct for my 1999 Acura TL's headlights, D2C or D2R?
Second questions, which is the best site to get bulbs from? Excelerate charges the most. I foudn another site called HIDExtra that charges about $40. and V-Leds charges about $50. Each of those prices are for a pair. What are your thoughts? Thanks guys.

I picked up a set of them last Fall and loved em'. I sure wish though, someone would come out with custom Euro light kits for the rear & projector lense kits for the front for our 2nd gen TL's.
I sure hope the Euro altezza does NOT surface for our cars. Although full LED tail lights would be the shizz... and I do agree with some projector headlights for our cars that are bolt in....I really don't want to deal with (or paying) for a full HID projector retrofit on the TL.
are the 6K D2R bulbs from HIDextra as good as philips 6K D2R bulbs???

Ya, when I ordered D2R light, the guy sent me D2S or D2C one and I thought it was D2R so drive it last 2 years without knowing it only I found out about it, when I did retrofit projector on my headlight.Well,.. but good thing is I didn't need to buy new D2S light again haha..D2R is coming with ceramic shield but if you scrach the ceramic off, D2R and D2S are the same IMO.

A non-projector headlight like the one on the 2nd gen CL/TL uses a D2R HID bulb. However, D2C bulbs work with both D2R and D2S.
Always remember too that you get what you pay for. We've had a number of customers switch from cheap HID bulbs to KAIXEN bulbs to report the light output is better and they last much longer. Of course the factory HID bulbs are high quality too but the cheap bulbs generally don't last long.

I just got a pair of these 6000k bulbs. I'm a little confused on how to install them, my '03 type s is stock. On the passenger side there is a warning label that looks like its right behind where you need to install the new bulb. It a warning or something about a high voltage...or something. Do we remove that? I'm not trying to get shocked.
Thanks

^ How do you un hook the battery? haha damn. Like I said before I have never done anything like this. Also, on the driver side, all we do is pull out the fluid resevoir or whatever that thing is thats right behind the bumper blocking where the bulb is right? Thanks
I also read that we need a code to reset the radio after disconnecting the battery ? How would I get this code, bought the car already usedv not from the dealership. How much would it cost to have the bulbs installed by Acura or Honda? Any opinions and thoughts would be nice. Thanks
^
No one gave you the radio code? You can get that at the dealer, just bring registration, ID, proof of ownership and what not.
Take off the battery cover and unscrew the negative terminal and remove it, if you want to be safe. You don't have to though. Just make sure car is off, headlights off.
The reservoir you can pull straight up and out
Oh and wear some latex gloves. You don't want to touch the bulbs with your fingers

^Ok, thanks. Yeah, I bought the car used from someone who lived by me and didn't provide me with the code, I didn't ask either, probably should've. Also on the passenger side there is something that looks like its covering where the low beam bulb is. Its like a cylinder shaped metal piece that has a warning of a high voltage on it. Do I remove that by un screwing those screws or can I get to the stock bulb without taking that piece out?
I appreciate all the help guys!
