There is a couple DIY threads. Pick the one that suit you. Here's mine and converted to HID light bulbs on, I love it. But it turn up a little yellow-green from HID result as you can see in pic, so pick the color that you prefer and mainly you can buy on Ebay, which all same quality and don't be fool by price but the choice is on your own.

yes. Mine one is when I turn parking light on fogs is on at the same time. Basically, you can hook it up to drive side under fuse box.

For the grille, I used mesh basket come in already black painted so you don't need to paint it. I bought my basket from bed bath and beyond for $5 and it's better than mesh from home depot.
Mesh from home depot one will not hold you paint in long term so I will recommend to get mesh basket. If you don't have bed bath beyond in your area try target, khol or any department store, you might have luck to fine it.
I cut out plastic mesh from oem grille and left only middle part because I could see the oem plastic mesh when I park in sun which I didn't like. Do not cut middle part it's only part that holding A sign.
To remove wing, you just unscrew 2 screw that holding A sign and wing together and remove out the wing. Flip your hood and look behind, you will know what I am talking about. Hope it help.

I did the Home Depot grill mod but never liked how it because you could still see the oem grill underneath it. I think i'm going to try this way and see how it works.
