Post You learn something new everyday...

She had eyes that were as blue as a high noon sky... (Sorry, working on a novel in my spare time)

Who has gone to the trunk and wanted to use the key to open 'er up?? SURPRISE!! No lock to insert the key into. Or at least none that I could find last Sunday. Wifey and me stop, I hop out to retrieve something from the trunk, grab her key, leave car running..."Hey, wait a minute...."

Just use the trunk release on the bottom portion of the driver's door.

It looks much cleaner without the keyhole on the trunk.

Forget the keyhole for the trunk. I love the fact that we don't have one there.

Also, I don't think I would use it anyway. In fact, I have never used the keyhole for the doors either.

My car doesn't have this either. It releases inside the car and you can also lock it from there. I think it's a lot cleaner looking w/o the keyhole.....

Cleaner look as well as preventing break-ins.

my dad and i notcied this too...we were looking at my TL-S and His 99 RL and he says to me that i have no key hole for the trunk. I said i never used it anyways. He said either does he.. so we look on his car and he has a key hole, but its all molded and filled with dirt for not being used for the last 2 1/2 years. Kinda gross.

You can also release your trunk from the glove compartment.

not on 99 and up TL's, the switch in the glove compartment locks the unlocking mechanism on the door, so only the key fob will open the trunk.

Don't let your battery die? You would have to snap me back to reality oracion. Carry on..

That reminds me of a civic I once saw that didn't have door handles. It looked sweet though.

You know, when the dealer first showed me this, I thought it'd be annoying not to have a keyhole on the trunk. Now that I've had the TL/S for three weeks, it seems really dumb that other cars still have a keyhole for the trunk!

Cool

You can also open the trunk by reaching into the pass-thru between the rear seats and yanking on the cable.

I wonder if this is the cause of the bad reception on FM station. Sometimes, the reception is kinda poor.

Now all Acura has to do is get rid of the keyholes on the doors. Wouldn't that be awesome! Let's have the remote do it all for us. If I could just get it to make the coffee in the morning for me.......

The keyhole on the trunk has been gone since the old CL. However the keyhole on the door should always be there. How would you open the door if the battery is dead?
