I'm currently looking at the 1999 BMW 3 series and the 2000 Acura 3.2 TL with Navigation. While the value of the Acura is simply unbeatable, I understand that the handling and overall performance of the BMW is better than that of the TL.

Really these 2 cars are not in the same class. Get the Acura for the massive options, larger size and comfortably with good sportiness. Get the BMW if you want a little more on the sports side at a sacrifice to extra fancy features and comfy ride.

I have both the 330Ci and the TL-S
honestly, i actually think that the BMW rides better, but rolls more in corner (though not losing control at all, very controlled and well-behaved )
the TL is more for practicality, for rain or snow, it's better to have FWD, and it's bigger too
i agree with y2ks2k that these cars are definately not in the same class, but i do feel the 330 gives a lot more confidence and is simply a joy to drive fast, but get's tiring if you drive it everyday to and from work...
honda reliability should be better than anything, but this is an american-made car, and we all know what happens when cars are made in the states ... seriously though, i don't have any major gripe about the car so far
between the a4 and the tl-s, i'd definately go with the honda since my friend has a a4 3.0, that thing is over-weight and underpowered but quality is very nice and the car looks sharp with the 17" rims

I also have a 330i and an Accord V6, both of which I like a lot.....when I drove the TL-S I really liked it a lot, but I figured since I already had a Honda product it was time to get something else so I gave BMW a try... I got a 2002 BMW 330i with the sport package and it is great, obviously somewhat more expensive than the TL, but I like the looks of it better and the performance speaks for itself. The TL is definately a sweet car, so you aren't gonna go wrong either way.
