Ok thanks Fatty and others for clearing things up.
And do you mean a little "metal brick" type thing that slides in?
And I wont really need the key if im on a lift and drop it enough that the other drive wheel is on the ground and it wont move when im tightening the bolt?
Is the rubber ring to be saved or does a new pulley come with one?
As for the belts. I cant see myself replacing a new belt every year. Dont some new OEM ones last just as long as the timing belt changing intervals?

There's timing marks on the crankshaft pulley but the timing belt runs off an inner sprocket and the cam gears. Getting the pulley off is a pain if you don't have the right tools. But the timing belt job is 4-5 hours. The crank pulley install is 1 hour.

This does NOT run your timing. It has NOTHING to do with timing. This and the timing belt sprocket are attached to the crankshaft, held in place by a keyway. Removing the crank pulley will not effect your timing.

Anyone who has done this mod please tell me what the difference in "feel" is once you have installed the UD pulley? Better MPG? More pull off the line? Quicker throttle response?
The more specific the better.
Thx.

Engine revs much easier and gets you to the upper rpms faster where the most power is made. It's the only thing other than the headers I could actually feel after changing. Anytime you can shave weight off rotational mass such as the crank it's definently worth it.

What's the status on the pulley order? I was going to replace by belts and auto tensioner but may wait until the pulley arrives. Any idea when they should ship? Thanks!

Just called them. Said it would be another 2 weeks. So much for a Christmas gift. I know they're supposed to be a ligitiment business and that many people on here have dealt with them with great success but if we're sending them our money with the promise of a product by a certain then they need to honor it.

Thanks for the update. I've been hoping for an update directly from the horse's mouth ever since the "mid-December" ETA came and went, but I'll take what I can get!

Not complaining about the deal I got. Just saying that when they said they were going out mid December that this was the case instead of being a month late. If they had originally said mid January and that's when they actually shipped that would have been fine.

Atleast what they send you will be an awesome limited addition part . Would you rather them send you the version one ? No , you want the sweet new one . I ordered my headers from these guys , and they arrived on time , and gave me a killer deal on 2 day shipping. Nothing but good things to say about them. Why would they want to post in this negative thread...?

I completely agree and I think most others who ordered do too. The fact that we're so stoked to get this part is why people are asking for an update.

I interpretted Excelerate's comments to mean this one will be even lighter than the most recent version sold:

Saw this in the cl section posted today so figured I would add it here. As far as it being different from the one milwaukeedave or the one I have being different, the only way would be to take a picture of the new one when it comes in and compare it to the one we have.

I'm surprised no one has posted since receiving their crank pulley. To me it looks the same as the previous run: same number of holes and and doesn't look any thinner (although it may be). I don't have a scale to weigh it to see if it's any lighter than the last run. Either way, I'm happy to have one and at a cheaper than listed price to boot.
