WTF!!! Pitted Wheels

I removed my wheels to clean the inside portion of the wheel. I couldn't believe what I found! The inside rim of all of the wheels is deeply pitted. The car is a 2003 TLs with only 4K miles. Anybody else have this problem? What can I do about this.

What do you mean by deeply pitted? Do you have any pics? If this is a serious safety issue that maybe affecting alot of us TL-S owners I'd love to know about it, but I dont understand what you mean by "deeply pitted".

i had the factory optianal chrome rims on my tl and it started to pit also. the chrome was peeling in the inside n working its way to the front of the rim. luckily it was from acura so it was covered under warranty. if your stock rims are pitting bring it to the dealer and they will replace it under warranty if its not then u can try bringing it to a rim repair shop.

Do you live up north? Could it have been road salt?

I noticed this after I took off my after-market rims I was using for the winter. My front driver wheel was the worst. The bolts on that wheel were pretty rusted, too.

My wheels are also pitted on the inside after 1.5 Cleveland winters!!

My dealer would not replace the wheels and said that he'd have to check with the regional factory rep first.
