WTF?? Car is off and making a clicking sound!
I just got a call from the house saying that my car is making a clicking sound from the engine bay. She put the phone near the car and it was making the sound. Needless to say no one was in the car. The car has been sitting in my drive way for about a week max. What can it be?

Look at the fan sensors.

I'm guessing with car starter you are talking about a remote start and I don't have one. So I don't think the battery will be the issue, but not ruling it out. Lets say if the battery were to be dead would it do the clicking sound? It has been about a year since the battery was replaced.

Sounds weird.
I know our 2G TL-S ticks and "wheezes" after shutting down from a drive. Always has - no problem. But not after just sitting around.

Ok so now with the battery fully charged find out what was left on-
interior light perhaps if your lucky-
or a fan relay is stuck on and runs until the battery dead,,,,
then makes that dead battery trying to start a car sound- as its last ounce of strength is zapped from its cells.

If you can get the car to the parts store- most have a small device to test charging system right at car without removing anything, but sounds like your thinking in the right direction.
Just make sure to retest after whatever repairs- make sure no open circuit on car causing other prob.

Was there ever a resolution to this? The same thing happened to my 2002 TL-S. My wife called me from work and said it was dead, but she heard some strange noises from the dash.
When I got there, it looked like the radio was trying to eject a CD when the car was off - I did find one of the CDs stuck and removed it, so that noise went away. However, that wasn't the main clicking that I heard.
I jumped the car, got it home (although we made a stop along the way and it was dead again), and got it in the garage (after turning it off, it's dead again). I went out a few hours later, and notice a strong sulfur smell and hear a clicking noise from the car. Popping the hood, I notice a real loud clicking from the fuse box at the top left of the engine compartment (looking from the front) and the top right box (has some more relays in it). I isolated it to the light relays causing the noise - in fact, the foglights and door lights were all flickering on and off, even with the car turned off. Disconnecting the battery solved this problem, but not sure of the root cause.
I'll be calling the dealership in the morning, but didn't know if anyone had any ideas about this. I think the loud noise from the relays were just a symptom - unplugging them left a faint clicking still coming from the compartment, and the lights were still flickering.

I'm having the same issue... AAA is on the way to test the battery ATM, but it's clicking with the car off! sounds like this is something that happens with acura TL models when the battery dies : / mine is a 2006. I'll post an update when i find out if it's just the battery

start the car, place the red lead to the positive post, place the black lead to the negitive post, read the display, if it reads 14.5 volts it's charging anything lower than 13.0 it's not. If your going to track down electrical issue you better own one they are cheap and easy to use

its called load test, something a standard volt meter cant do.
it can also test to see how much current the starter draws, as well the alternator amps, volts, and the function of the diodes.
dont say anything unless you know what you are talking about
http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto+Meter/105/BVA-200S/10002/-1
this unit which is around $550 does the following:
Alternator Test - Amperage output and regulated voltage
Alternator Stator Biodes - Good & Bad Diode Detection
Starter Test - Starter Draw Test
Voltmeter Range - 0 to 30 with .01 resolution
Memory - Last 200 Tests
